  Laser resurfacing and Fat grafting

Pre-treatment:

Post-treatment:
Extensively sun damaged eyelid skin demonstrating dermal thinning and wrinkling treated with erbium laser resurfacing alone

Pre-treatment:

Post-treatment:
Wrinkling and deep creases resulting from sun damaged skin and loss of bone volume surounding the upper and lower jaw dentition. Treated with erbium laser resurfacing and fat grafting to the lips and cheek creases.
Fat grafting involves the transfer of small parcels of fat cells from a donor area (often the abdomen or hips). Approximately 50–70% of the grafted fat cells will establish a blood supply and thereafter survive permanantly.

Treatment of skin lesions with Erbium Laser

Clinical example 1:

Pre-treatment: Benign raised skin lesion Day 3: following ablation with erbium laser. The wound requires regular cleansing with water and cover with medical grade vaseline.

Day 7: The wound has now healed and has intact epithelial cover. It is important to protect the wound from direct ultraviolet (sunlight) with sunscreens to avoid excessive pigmentation during this phase. The redness can be covered with make-up.
4 weeks postoperatively: The redness (erythema) has resolved and the complexion of the skin is essentially normal

Clinical example 2:

Pre-treatment: Benign pigmented skin lesion (lentigos) Immediately after erbium laser ablation: The shallow overlapping disc-shaped wounds produced by each laser pulse are visible.

Day 3: Following ablation with erbium laser. The wound requires regular cleansing with water and cover with medical grade vaseline.
4 weeks postoperatively: The redness (erythema) has resolved and the complexion of the skin is essentially normal
